This is a view of Bald Mountain near area 51. Bald mountain is heavily equipped with a wide variety of communications gear. Area 51 is located in the Groom Lake valley just beyond Bald Mountain.

Mailbox road is an access road which leads into Area 51 and S-4, which is located several miles south of Area 51.

Apparently, this is what the road is named after.
